The Legend of the Sticker Gator

Hear the Tale of the Sticker Gator, This story takes place in the misty bayou, Old Gus—a massive, curious bull gator—rules the dark Ink Pot hole. He secretly watches a local printer Remy LeBeau make custom stickers at his bait shop. When a flood destroys Remy's business, washing away his press and supplies, Gus salvages the equipment and, through mysterious instinct (or swamp magic), learns to print. Hiding in the depths of the swamp, Gus produces beautiful, waterproof stickers featuring gators, fish, and funny swamp sayings, floating them out on lily pads at dawn. Fishermen and guides mysteriously find them, Kids leave offerings at the waters edge. Remy receives anonymous stacks of stickers each month to sell, allowing him to survive. He simply says, “The swamp provides.” To this day, deep in the swamp after a rain, you might spot a drifting sticker and hear the faint rumble of the Sticker Gator still printing in secret.

More Gator Facts:  A full-size (adult) American alligator (Alligator mississippiensis), which is the species people usually mean by "gator" in places like the US, has one of the most powerful bites among living animals. This is far stronger than a human (120–200 PSI), lion (650 PSI), or hyena, and it's enough to crush bone, turtle shells, or even small metal objects.
